How To Effectively Utilize The Space In Your Dumpster Rental

Oct 19, 2022

Ordering a dumpster is the first step in getting all the junk and trash out of your home, construction place or other location.

But once you get it, you will want to maximize its space to get the most use out of it.

Here are a few tips on just how to do this:

Break Down Items Where You Can.
Cardboard boxes are a great example. You can utilize a lot more space in the dumpster if you break down the boxes before you toss them. All that extra space in an empty box is useless and can better be used for other junk if you break them down using a scissor, knife or other sharp object.

Load The Dumpster Smartly.
That means adding large and bulky items first. Smaller items can fit in around the bigger bulky stuff that can’t be broken down further. In addition, load your dumpster from the back end to the front. This way you can maximize all that space and not potentially miss out on usable space that you won’t be able to get too once it is filled up.

Watch The Weight Distribution.
You will want to distribute the weight of the items you put into the dumpster evenly. If not, it could cause the dumpster to move around while in transit to the dump and cause some potentially serious and dangerous problems.

Dumpster rentals are ideal ways to get rid of excess junk and trash. Be smart when utilizing them though so you get the most value out of them while keeping everyone involved with them safe.
