While it may be common sense for most, it is always good to be reminded of places you SHOULD NOT place your dumpster. A dumpster should always be placed an area that safe and not subject any legal or HOA issues in your neighborhood.
While Jerry’s Dumpsters usually places dumpsters typically on driveways, sometimes that isn’t possible. We will then provide recommendations on the best alternative spots.
We won’t though place them in the following:
Areas of Incline
While a dumpster may seem fine on a slope at first as heavy materials begin to get placed inside and it gets heavier, it will start to slide down the incline and cause a bunch of unnecessary damage.
Your Neighbors Property
You will want to know ahead of time where your property line starts and ends as you never want to put your dumpster on or partially on your neighbor’s property. Not only is it rude and will create an unhappy neighbor, but it could create potential legal issues. Before the dumpster arrives, it may be a good idea to give your neighbors a heads up that a dumpster is coming so there isn’t any surprises.
The Street and Other Unstable Ground
Unless a paid permit is executed, we won’t place a dumpster on the street as it may not be legal in your town and neighborhood. We also won’t place a dumpster on unstable ground such as where septic tanks or cable wires may live. It could potentially cause for a very hazardous environment.
Renting a dumpster is a great way to declutter a home or clean up a job site. Having them in safe areas though are important and essential for everyone’s well-being.
